Christina came to Options Now after hearing about it from church. She said she had just been laid off from work and didn't think she could get pregnant, so her pregnancy was a bit of a surprise. About her visit, Christina said, "Everyone was so kind and helped me get a handle on my fears, and they gave me lots of information about pregnancy and parenthood."
Her son, Henry, has been a blessing since the very beginning. Christina said, "He just had his fourth birthday! He knows how to swim in the pool and ride his bike, and he is a clever, fun-loving boy."
When asked what she would say to a woman who found herself in an unexpected pregnancy, Christina said, "You're stronger than you know, and don't let your fear control you."
To donors who help keep Options Now services free of charge in our community, Christina said, "Women who have a lower SES don't have the same knowledge and resources to which other mothers-to-be do not necessarily have access, so the free help Options Now gives to those in need is essential to raising the quality of life for residents in our community."
